Fresnel Lenses

The Fresnel lens was originally developed by French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel for lighthouse lenses. The structure of the Fresnel lens ensures a large aperture and a short focal length. In comparison to the rather bulky conventional lenses, the Fresnel lens is much thinner, larger, and flatter, and it can detect a light source from the side. Due to the advantages of its size and unusual shape, its light is visible at greater distances.
